Montreal author Judy Batalion co-wrote the book she wished she had read as a 12-year old girl. “The Girl’s Guide to Guts” by Judy Batalion and American journalist Chloe Melas is about their shared experiences with ulcerative colitis, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that can cause extreme pain and discomfort. Judy Batalion talks about the book and how she hopes it opens conversations and reduces shame around bowel disease.
